Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Fanney Khan will not bow down to Salman Khan’s star power – The clash is still ON

Few weeks ago, an announcement by KriArj Entertainment sort of broke the internet. The official statement carried the announcement of the release date of their new film, Fanney Khan. The date was said to be June 15, 2018 i.e Eid. The reason news came as a surprise to many because Eid 2018 also sees the release of Salman Khan’s Race 3. There were several reports of how it’s gonna be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan vs Salman Khan this Eid. It added quite a fodder for tabloids and news websites across the country.

Usually taking on Salmna Khan film on Eid is termed as suicidal for other filmmakers and actors but considering his last festive release Tubelight, turned out to be damp squib must have given makers the assurance and motivation that they can not just survive th clash but might win the battle.

However, the distributors don’t think so. According to a report in a leading tabloid, “Reactions to the news weren’t favourable. Eid is locked for a Salman film. Any film clashing with it must be contextually strong.” Which later prompted the makers to look out for a new release date. But the official Twitter handle of KriArj Entertainment has quashed all these speculations. Their tweet read, “Speculations about #FanneyKhan being rescheduled are all rumours. It is fully on schedule to be released on 15 June 2018 #FanneyKhanEid2018”.

Earlier Prerna Arora of KriArj Entertainment had talked about the fact that she is taking on the mighty Khans of Bollywood, namely Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. Talking to firstpost she had stated, “I am also grabbing the festival releases like stars, I have picked up the same dates.”
She also went on to explain her decision to release Kedarnath with Shah Rukh Khan starrer, “For Kedarnath, we need a big weekend as I want a long run for the film. I don’t want any big film to come opposite it as it might divert the audience. The film is about Hindu-Muslim humanity, love and sacrifice. My characters are Hindu and Muslim and it’s a tribute to Lord Shiva. So December 21 is the right date. Let the best film win, let the audience decide. My motive is to make a good film. I don’t want my audience to say, ‘Arre yaar, yeh kya banaya…’ Every film is couture, every film is handpicked. We make films with lot of confidence.”

Now that it indeed’s gonna be Salman Khan vs Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, which are you most excited about?
