New Delhi: Ever since news of Virat Kohli requesting BCCI to rest him in the month of December broke, fans have been anticipating that the Indian skipper has asked for a break from his hectic schedule in order to settle down in his personal life.

According to a report in The New Indian Express, Kohli looked all set to tie the knot with his long-time girlfriend Anushka Sharma in December this year.

Kohli, who was on Monday named as captain for the first two Tests against Sri Lanka, had requested the BCCI to rest him in the month of December citing ‘personal reasons’.

However, much to the disappointment of the fans of the celebrity couple, the talent agency which manages Anushka, told NDTV: “These are just rumours doing the rounds. No truth to it.”

Kohli and Anushka have been dating for quite some time now with the latter even attending cricket matches to cheer her boyfriend.
There was a brief turmoil in their relationship where there were rumours of a break up between the two. However, all those rumours were put to rest as Kohli slammed trolls for blaming Anushka for his poor performances on cricket field.

Since then, Kohli has publicly expressed his love for Anushka on social media platforms on numerous occasions.

The two also recently appeared in an adorable TVC together for clothing brand Manyavar where they exchanged wedding vows.
