The teaser poster of Tamil film Mersal starring Vijay, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kajal Aggarwal and Nithya Menon is OUT and it has set the mood for the soon to release teaser. In the poster, we can see Vijay in a perfect desi avatar along with the gorgeous Nithya Menon and a cute little kid. They all make a sweet, happy family and the poster will instantly remind you of Jallikattu.

We cannot wait to see what the teaser has in store of us. The teaser, as the poster announces, will be out in just two days on the September 21. The film, directed by Atlee and co-written by K. V. Vijayendra Prasad, S. Ramana Girivasan and Atlee, is scheduled for worldwide release this Diwali.

The film is an important one since it marks 25 year in the film industry for Vijay and the film’s music composer, A R Rahman. This is not all; the film also holds significance since it releases close on the heels of Thala Ajith’s Vivegam. Tamil cinema fans have always loved to pit one superstar against the other. The box office war between MGR versus Sivaji was followed by Kamal Haasan versus Rajinikanth and in the current scenario, it is Vijay versus Ajith.

Mersal has had a great buzz around it and fan frenzy on Twitter post the poster release is evident about the film being nothing less than a storm.
